History

Whether you are coming for the day, choosing a place to study, thinking about investing, relocating your business, or growing your family here, with the opportunity to work and play in London, as well as closer to home, you can discover a new future in Harlow.

At the end of 2010, Harlow became the world’s first ‘Sculpture Town’. This not only celebrates the sculptures owned by Harlow Art Trust but other sculpture collections in Harlow, including those of the Council, the Gibberd Garden and Parndon Mill. A collection of sculptures of national significance are sited throughout the town. In the main squares and precincts, in numerous public buildings and at several schools, sculptures by artists, both famous and lesser known, are to be found

Public Health England site is positioned next to the town’s dedicated Enterprise Zone, which has a specific focus on the life sciences sector.

Harlow Town is home to many large companies including Raytheon UK, Public Health England, GSK, Poundland, Morplan, Pearson Education, Virgin Heath Care

With some fabulous countryside, great rail links to London, excellent road connections – including the nearby M11, and Stansted Airport just to the north – Harlow is forging ahead as one of the most economically productive and fastest growing places developing in the UK.
